Net grade = smoothed net elevation change ÷ horizontal distance. Climb and descent are also shown independently, so a hill within a window remains visible even when its net change is small. GPS and elevation noise limit precision. Speed percentiles are distance-weighted observations of the canonical smoothed speed curve. Median is not elapsed average speed; the supplemental average and pace include all elapsed time, including pauses. Uphill > +1%, downhill < −1%; both boundaries count as flat. These observations do not imply cause or effort.
